Chris Johnston claims the 2025 Progressive Angler of the Year title to become a two-time Angler of the Year in back-to-back years. It came down to the wire with Trey McKinney and Jay Przekurat, but a 19th place finish at the Pro-Guide Batteries Bassmaster Elite at Mississippi River seals the deal!

Bass anglers from Ontario B.A.S.S. Nation Clubs came together in North Bay, Ontario, to compete on Lake Nippissing to get a berth on the 2026 Team Ontario, which will compete at the 2026 B.A.S.S. Nation Championship on Lake Hartwell. The event took place over two days on July 12, 2025, and July 13, 2025. The top eight (8) anglers and the top eight (8) co-anglers, with one alternate for each form the Team.
